Kind but strict
I am Gabriel Figueroa. I have been coaching strength and conditioning since 2011, and Coach Gabe Fig has been my work in Killeen for fourteen years.
I started training strength and conditioning in the sport of volleyball in 2011. Watching the development of teenagers turning into productive adults throughout the years was very fulfilling and it was in that moment I knew this was going to be part of my life.Gabriel Figueroa, Coach Gabe Fig
That is the honest reason I am still doing this. I got to watch what a well-built training block does to a person outside the gym: better follow-through, better decisions, and the understanding that showing up when it is boring is a skill you can own.
I coach in seasons, and I say that out loud because it changes how the work feels. Pre-season is training camp: we build the base, the positions, the breathing, honest strength. In-season we sharpen, and conditioning gets pointed at the thing you actually want. Off-season work is where we repair and reload so the next block starts higher than the last one. Nobody is behind in that system. You are just somewhere in the calendar, and I coach you from there.
I am kind but strict. Kind, because nobody improves while they are being humiliated, and the women I coach are already carrying a full load: athletes with a season on their back, parents with no gaps in the day, professionals whose calendar belongs to other people. Strict, because kindness without standards is company, not coaching. I am faith driven and nurturing, and I will effectively evaluate you and take you from where you are to where you need to be.
What almost everyone asks me for is the same thing: more energy and endurance during the day, plus better conditioning. So that is what I build toward and how I judge the program. See how the coaching works or get in touch and tell me where you are right now.
